ܘܡܠܟܬ ܫܒܐ ܫܡܥܬ ܫܡܥܗ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܬܬ ܠܡܢܣܝܘܬܗ ܒܐ̈ܘܚܕܬܐ
b'wkhdth' lmnsywthh w'thth dmry' wshmh dshlymwn shmeh shmeth shb' wmlkth
When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning Yahweh’s name, she came to test him with hard questions.

ܘܐܬܬ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܒܚܝܠܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܕܛܒ ܘܓܡ̈ܠܐ ܕܛܥܝܢ̈ܝܢ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܘܕܗܒܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܛܒ ܘܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܛܒ̈ܬܐ ܘܐܬܬ ܠܘܬ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܢܣܝܬܗ ܒܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܠܒܗ

She came to Jerusalem with a very great caravan, with camels that bore spices, very much gold, and precious stones; and when she had come to Solomon, she talked with him about all that was in her heart.

ܘܚܘܝܗ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܟܘܠܗܝܢ ܡ̈ܠܐ ܘܡܕܡ ܠܐ ܐܬܟܣܝ ܡܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܠܐ ܚܘܝܗ
khwyh dl' mlk' mn 'thksy l' wmdm ml' kwlhyn shlymwn wkhwyh
Solomon answered all her questions. There wasn’t anything hidden from the king which he didn’t tell her.

ܘܚܙܬ ܡܠܟܬ ܫܒܐ ܟܠܗ ܚܟܡܬܗ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܒܝܬܐ ܕܒܢܐ

When the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,

ܘܡܐܟܠ ܦܬܘܪܗ ܘܡܘܬܒ ܥܒ̈ܕܘܗܝ ܘܩܝܡ ܡܫܡ̈ܫܢܘܗܝ ܘܠܒ̈ܘܫܝܗܘܢ ܘܫ̈ܩܘܬܗ ܘܠܒ̈ܘܫܝܗܘܢ ܘܥ̈ܠܘܬܗ ܕܡܣܩ ܗܘܐ ܒܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܫܬܚܪܬ ܒܗ ܬܘܒ ܪܘܚܐ
rwkh' thwb bh 'shthkhrth wl' dmry' bbythh hw' dmsq welwthh wlbwshyhwn wshqwthh wlbwshyhwn mshmshnwhy wqym ebdwhy wmwthb pthwrh wm'kl
the food of his table, the sitting of his servants, the attendance of his officials, their clothing, his cup bearers, and his ascent by which he went up to Yahweh’s house, there was no more spirit in her.

ܘܐܡܪܬ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܦܬܓܡܐ ܕܫܡܥܬ ܒܐܪܥܝ ܥܠ ܦܬ̈ܓܡܝܟ ܘܥܠ ܚܟܡܬܟ
khkmthk wel pthgmyk el b'rey dshmeth pthgm' hw' shryr'yth lmlk' w'mrth
She said to the king, “It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts and of your wisdom.

ܘܠܐ ܗܝܡܢܬ ܠܦܬ̈ܓܡܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܐܬܝܬ ܘܚܙܝ ܥܝܢ̈ܝ ܘܗܐ ܠܐ ܚܘܝܘ ܠܝ ܦܠܓܐ ܐܘܣܦܬ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܘܛܒܬܐ ܥܠ ܛܒܐ ܕܫܡܥܬ
dshmeth Tb' el wTbth' khkmth' 'wspth plg' ly khwyw l' wh' eyny wkhzy d'thyth edm' lpthgm' hymnth wl'
However, I didn’t believe the words until I came and my eyes had seen it. Behold, not even half was told me! Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame which I heard.

ܛܘܒ̈ܝܗܝܢ ܠܢܫ̈ܝܟ ܛܘܒܝܗܘܢ ܠܥܒ̈ܕܝܟ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܩܝܡܝܢ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܐܡܝܢܐܝܬ ܘܫܡܥܝܢ ܚܟܡܬܟ

Happy are your men, happy are these your servants who stand continually before you, who hear your wisdom.

ܢܗܘܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܟ ܒܪܝܟ ܕܨܒܐ ܒܟ ܘܐܘܬܒܟ ܥܠ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܛܠ ܕܪܚܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܒܕܟ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܬܥܒܕ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ
wzdyqwth' dyn' dthebd mlk' ebdk lelm l'ysryl mry' drkhm mTl d'ysryl kwrsy' el w'wthbk bk dtsb' bryk 'lhk mry' nhw'
Blessed is Yahweh your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel. Because Yahweh loved Israel forever, therefore he made you king, to do justice and righteousness.”

ܘܝܗܒܬ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܐܐ ܘܥܣܪ̈ܝܢ ܟܟܪ̈ܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܘܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܛܒ ܘܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܛܒ̈ܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܘ ܐܝܟ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܬܘܒ ܕܝܗܒܬ ܡܠܟܬ ܫܒܐ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ

She gave the king one hundred twenty talents of gold, and a very great quantity of spices, and precious stones. Never again was there such an abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.

ܘܐܦ ܣܦܝ̈ܢܐ ܕܚܝܪܡ ܛܥܢ ܕܗܒܐ ܡܢ ܐܘܦܝܪ ܘܐܝܬܝ ܡܢ ܐܘܦܝܪ ܩܝ̈ܣܐ ܕܩܣܘܬܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܛܒ ܘܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܛܒ̈ܬܐ
Tbth' wk'p' dTb swg'' dqswth' qys' 'wpyr mn w'ythy 'wpyr mn dhb' Ten dkhyrm spyn' w'p
The fleet of Hiram that brought gold from Ophir also brought in from Ophir great quantities of almug trees and precious stones.

ܘܥܒܕ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܩܝܣ̈ܐ ܕܩܣܘܬܐ ܬܨܒܝܬܐ ܠܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܒܝܬ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܟܢܪ̈ܐ ܘܩܝܬܪ̈ܐ ܠܡܫܒܚ̈ܢܐ ܠܐ ܐܬܘ ܐܝܟ ܗܢܘܢ ܩܝ̈ܣܐ ܕܩܣܘܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܚܙܝܘ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ

The king made of the almug trees pillars for Yahweh’s house and for the king’s house, harps also and stringed instruments for the singers; no such almug trees came or were seen to this day.

ܘܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܝܗܒ ܠܡܠܟܬ ܫܒܐ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܨܒܬ ܘܫܐܠܬ ܣܛܪ ܡܢ ܡܕܡ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܐܝܟ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܘܐܬܦܢܝܬ ܘܐܙܠܬ ܠܐܪܥܗ ܗܝ ܘܥܒ̈ܕܝܗ
webdyh hy l'reh w'zlth w'thpnyth dmlk' 'yd' 'yk lh dyhb mdm mn sTr wsh'lth dtsbth klmdm shb' lmlkth yhb shlymwn wmlk'
King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, in addition to that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.

ܘܗܘܐ ܡܬܩܠ ܕܗܒܐ ܕܥܐܠ ܗܘܐ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܫܢܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܫܬܡܐܐ ܘܫܬܝܢ ܘܫܬ ܟܟܪ̈ܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ
ddhb' kkr' wshth wshthyn shthm'' khd' bshnth' lshlymwn hw' de'l dhb' mthql whw'
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,

ܣܛܪ ܡܢ ܐܢܫܐ ܐ̈ܘܡܢܐ ܘܬܐܓܪ̈ܬܐ ܕܬܓܪ̈ܐ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܥܪ̈ܒܝܐ ܘܫ̈ܠܝܛܢܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ
d're' wshlyTn' derby' mlk' wklhwn dthgr' wth'grth' 'wmn' 'nsh' mn sTr
in addition to that which the traders brought, and the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of the mixed people, and of the governors of the country.

ܘܥܒܕ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܐܬܝܢ ܣܟܪ̈ܝܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܣܢܝܢܐ ܘܫܬܡܐܐ ܡ̈ܢܝܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܐܣܩ ܥܠ ܣܟܪܐ ܚܕܐ
khd' skr' el 'sq ddhb' mnyn wshthm'' snyn' ddhb' skryn m'thyn shlymwn mlk' webd
King Solomon made two hundred bucklers of beaten gold; six hundred shekels of gold went to one buckler.

ܘܬܠܬܡܐܐ ܡ̈ܓܢܝܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܣܢܝܢܐ ܘܬܠܬܡܐܐ ܡܢܝ̈ܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܐܣܩ ܥܠ ܡܓܢܐ ܚܕܐ ܘܣܡ ܐ̈ܢܝܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܒܝܬ ܥܒܐ ܕܠܒܢܢ
dlbnn eb' byth mlk' 'nyn wsm khd' mgn' el 'sq ddhb' mnyn wthlthm'' snyn' ddhb' mgnyn wthlthm''
He made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three minas of gold went to one shield; and the king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.

ܘܥܒܕ ܡܠܟܐ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܫܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܩܪܡܗ ܕܗܒܐ ܡܢ ܐܘܦܝܪ

Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the finest gold.

ܘܥܒܕ ܠܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܫܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܓܝܢ ܘܪܝܫܗ ܕܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܓܠܝܠ ܡܢ ܒܣܬܪܗ ܘܐ̈ܝܕܗܬܐ ܡܟܐ ܘܡܟܐ ܒܕܘܟܬܐ ܕܡܘܬܒܐ ܘܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܐܪ̈ܝܘܢ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܡܟܐ ܘܡܟܐ
wmk' mk' qymyn 'rywn wthryn dmwthb' bdwkth' wmk' mk' w'ydhth' bsthrh mn glyl dkwrsy' wryshh drgyn shth' lkwrsy' webd
There were six steps to the throne, and the top of the throne was round behind; and there were armrests on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the armrests.

ܘܬܪ̈ܥܣܪ ܐܪ̈ܝܘܢ ܩܝܡܝܢ ܥܠ ܓܒ ܫܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܓܝܢ ܡܟܐ ܘܡܟܐ ܠܐ ܐܬܥܒܕ ܗܟܢܐ ܠܟܠܗܝܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܘܬܐ
mlkwth' lklhyn hkn' 'thebd l' wmk' mk' drgyn shth' gb el qymyn 'rywn wthresr
Twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other on the six steps. Nothing like it was made in any kingdom.

ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܕܬܫܡܫܬܗ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܥܒܐ ܕܠܒܢܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܣܢܝܢܐ ܘܟܣܦܐ ܠܐ ܚܫܝܒ ܗܘܐ ܒܝ̈ܘܡܘܗܝ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܕܡ
mdm dshlymwn bywmwhy hw' khshyb l' wksp' snyn' ddhb' dlbnn eb' dbyth m'n' wklhwn ddhb' shlymwn dmlk' dthshmshthh m'n' wklhwn
All King Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of pure gold. None were of silver, because it was considered of little value in the days of Solomon.

ܡܛܠ ܕܣ̈ܦܝܢܐ ܕܬܪܫܝܫ ܐܝܬ ܗ̈ܘܝ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܒܝܡܐ ܥܡ ܣܦܝ̈ܢܐ ܕܚܝܪܡ ܚܕܐ ܠܬܠܬ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܐܬܝܐ ܣܦܝܢܬܐ ܡܢ ܬܪܫܝܫ ܘܛܥܝܢܐ ܟܣܦܐ ܘܕܗܒܐ ܘܦܝ̈ܠܐ ܘܩܘ̈ܦܐ ܘܛܘ̈ܣܐ

For the king had a fleet of ships of Tarshish at sea with Hiram’s fleet. Once every three years the fleet of Tarshish came bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.

ܘܝܪܒ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܒܥܘܬܪܐ ܘܒܚܟܡܬܐ
wbkhkmth' bewthr' d're' mlk' klhwn mn shlymwn mlk' wyrb
So King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.

ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܒܥܝܢ ܠܡܚܙܐ ܐ̈ܦܘܗܝ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܠܡܫܡܥ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܕܝܗܒ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܠܒܗ
blbh 'lh' dyhb khkmth' wlmshme dshlymwn 'pwhy lmkhz' beyn d're' mlk' wklhwn
All the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom which God had put in his heart.

ܘܡܝܬܝܢ ܓܒܪ ܩܘܪܒܢܗ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܘܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܕܟܣܦܐ ܘܠܒ̈ܘܫܐ ܘܙܝܢܐ ܘܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܘܪ̈ܟܫܐ ܘܩܪ̈ܘܟܐ ܘܟܘ̈ܕܢܘܬܐ ܟܠ ܫܢܐ ܒܫܢܐ
bshn' shn' kl wkwdnwth' wqrwk' wrksh' wbsm' wzyn' wlbwsh' dksp' wm'n' ddhb' m'n' qwrbnh gbr wmythyn
Year after year, every man brought his tribute, vessels of silver, vessels of gold, clothing, armor, spices, horses, and mules.

ܘܟܢܫ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܪ̈ܟܒܬܐ ܘܦܪ̈ܫܐ ܘܗ̈ܘܝ ܠܗ ܐܠܦ ܘܐܪ̈ܒܥܡܐܐ ܡܪ̈ܟܒܬܐ ܘܬܪ̈ܥܣܪ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܦܪ̈ܫܝܢ ܘܫܒܩ ܐ̈ܢܝܢ ܠܡܪ̈ܟܒܬܐ ܒܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܘܡܢܗܝܢ ܥܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ
b'wrshlm mlk' em wmnhyn bqwry' lmrkbth' 'nyn wshbq prshyn 'lpyn wthresr mrkbth' w'rbem'' 'lp lh whwy wprsh' mrkbth' shlymwn mlk' wknsh
Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen. He had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen. He kept them in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.

ܘܝܗܒ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܟܣܦܐ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܐܝܟ ܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܘܐܪ̈ܙܐ ܝܗܒ ܐܝܟ ܫܩ̈ܡܐ ܕܒܦܩܥܬܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ

The king made silver as common as stones in Jerusalem, and cedars as common as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland.

ܘܡܦܩܢܐ ܕܪ̈ܟܫܐ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܨܪܝܢ. ܘܐܓܪܐ ܕܬܓܪ̈ܐ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܢܣܒܝܢ ܙܒܢܐ ܒܕܡ̈ܝܐ.
bdmy' zbn' nsbyn dmlk' dthgr' w'gr' mtsryn mn dshlymwn drksh' wmpqn'
The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt. The king’s merchants received them in droves, each drove at a price.

ܘܣܠܩܐ ܗܘܬ ܡܪܟܒܬܐ ܡܢ ܡܨܪܝܢ ܒܫܬܡܐܐ ܕܟܣܦܐ ܘܣܘܣܝܐ ܒܡܐܐ ܘܚܡܫܝܢ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܚ̈ܬܝܐ ܘܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܐܕܘܡ ܒܐ̈ܝܕܝܗܘܢ ܐܝܬܝܘ ܣܘܓܐܐ

A chariot was imported from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for one hundred fifty shekels; and so they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and to the kings of Syria.
